Frequently Asked Questions

Birthday parties need to allow for 3 hours.This gives a cushion to make sure we can fit a 2-hour painting with a dry break for food and the end of the party for cake and gifts.

Julie will come 30 min early to set up. Tables, chairs, and tablecloths are to be provided by the host. These parties are generally not messy, but occasionally there can be an accident. Covering floors is up to the host. You can rent a party room at a restaurant or a park district building for other party location ideas.

It’s NOT recommended to have summer outdoor parties. The heat dries the paint too fast, brushes tend to get ruined, and then there’s wind. Garage spaces are a bit better if room in the home is not an option.

Ages 6 to 99! Ages 6 and up can handle a 2 hour painting with instruction. We take a break in the middle for food.
Younger children are not able to sit and have patience. It's best to just give them something else to do. 

No. Julie brings the party to you or the location of your choosing. She's hosted parties in dining rooms, kitchens, basements, garages that have worked just fine for this type of party.

Yes, A $50 non-refundable deposit is due when booking the party. I can be paid by zelle or venmo.

YES! We do! We offer public events through the Crystal Lake Park District, McHenry County College, & Elgin Community College. You must register on their websites for the event. The best place to view all upcoming public paint nights is on the Art Attack! Paint Party Facebook Page under Events.

Yes, Art Attack! Paint Party's price is $20, but you set your ticket price depending on what you'd like to make per ticket. Julie can theme the painting for the event. We also offer custom pet portraits at $40. 

Yes! Julie has helped many bride-to-be's with their fun and creative bachelorette party. Depending on the client she can include a fun game. 

Yes! Julie has worked with many Schools and Businesses. She's found over the years that the magic number is 40 painters (3 volunteers). Divided into several sessions to accommodate schools and scheduling.
Julie can help with team building exercises for businesses as well as a regular paint night style party.

Anything under 15 miles from Algonquin has no extra service fee. A travel fee will be included to cover gas/mileage (calculated by miles/gas prices) for anywhere up to 1.5 hours from Algonquin.

We had a fantastic day today with Julie for my 10 year old daughters birthday! She created a personalized painting based on the theme of the party, and had a mock up ready for me a week in advance. Today, she showed up early enough to get the space set up with every supply we needed. All I had to provide was tables and chairs (and drop cloths :-) )
She was so patient with the kids, explaining everything they needed to know about painting and shading and the necessity of some in between dry time. And she praised and encouraged the kids the entire time.
It was so easy to work with Julie coming up to our party date. She always answered my questions quickly, and was so friendly!
My son is already asking to have her back for his next birthday party.
